This is not a features list. It is the actual sequence of screens for a first trade, small on purpose, so you know what to expect before any of it happens. If a term does not make sense along the way, our glossary has it.
1. Open the bot
Press Start in @rayotrade_bot. Rayo creates a Solana wallet for you on the spot, there is no seed phrase to write down and nothing to install first. You immediately get the deposit address and the fee you will pay. The only real bot is @rayotrade_bot.
2. Deposit on the Solana network
The deposit screen is direct about the one mistake that cannot be undone: the network is Solana, and only Solana. Send from an exchange like Binance, Coinbase, or Kraken, or from another wallet like Phantom, and pick the Solana (SOL) network on the sending side. Pick a different network and the money is gone, not held up, gone, and nobody, including us, can get it back.
The useful minimum is 0.01 SOL, below that it will not cover a trade plus the network fee. 0.1 SOL is the recommended amount to actually start with, which is why this guide uses it. Solana confirms in a few seconds, and Rayo tells you the moment it lands, right in the same chat.
3. Paste a token address
Once your balance shows, buying starts by pasting a token's contract address into the chat, nothing else. Rayo comes back with the price, the 24-hour move, the liquidity, and your current balance, then buttons for 0.05, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, and 1 SOL, plus an option to type your own amount. Nothing has been risked yet: this step is just information.
4. Read the card before you touch anything
This is the part that exists specifically for the fear of buying something you can never sell. Before the confirm button ever appears, Rayo checks the token for three things and shows you plainly if any of them fail:
- Freeze authority. Whoever issued the token could freeze your tokens in place. Legitimate tokens like USDC have this too, so it is a flag to notice, not proof of a scam on its own.
- A Token-2022 transfer hook. The issuer's own code runs on every transfer and can block a sale outright depending on who is selling, how much, or when.
- No real route back to SOL. Rayo asks Jupiter for an actual sell quote on the exact amount you are about to receive. If there is no route back, there is no exit, no matter how well the buy side looks.
Fail any of those checks and the normal buy button is not shown at all. The only way forward is an explicit "buy anyway" that gets recorded. The card also shows the liquidity figure directly on screen, since that number is what actually determines how much selling can return.
5. Buy 0.05 SOL
Tap the 0.05 SOL button. The confirmation screen shows exactly what you pay, what you get, the price, and the price impact, labelled clearly as an estimate since the route can shift by execution time. What is actually enforced is your slippage tolerance, shown as a percentage right there. The quote expires after 60 seconds, so a screen left open can never fill at a stale price. Confirm, and the trade comes back with its transaction signature linked to Solscan, so what happened on chain is never only our word for it.
6. Check your position and your net PNL
/positions shows your holding, entry price, current price, and value, then the number that actually matters: PnL, shown both gross and net, after our fee, the network fee, and slippage are subtracted. /history gives you the same net number for your last trades, with a free CSV export any time you want the full breakdown for every row.
7. Sell some or all of it
/sell lets you take any percentage, half, all of it, or something in between, and shows what you currently hold before you pick a number. Before you confirm, Rayo previews the result as gross and net percentages side by side. The fee itself is charged on the SOL that actually lands, in a second transaction right after the sale, which is why the number on the preview screen is an estimate rather than a locked-in figure.
8. Export your key when you are ready
The export button lives inside /wallet. Tapping it shows a screen first: whoever holds that key controls the wallet completely, and nobody from Rayo will ever ask you for it. Confirm, copy it to a password manager, and delete the message. From there, moving the funds to a wallet only you control is the next step.
Your own referral link
Once you have an account, /referrals hands you your invite link and your running totals immediately, nothing to apply for and no approval step. Anyone who joins through it pays 0.9% instead of 1%, permanently, and you earn a cut of their trading fee five levels deep: 30% at level one, then 3.5%, 2.5%, 1.5% and 1%, which is 38.5% of the fee in total. It accrues on its own as your network trades, and /withdraw sends anything from 0.01 SOL straight into your own bot wallet. Our Rayo referral code guide has the full breakdown of how the split works.

Frequently asked questions
What if I only have less than 0.01 SOL?
Rayo will not let a buy go through below the 0.01 SOL minimum trade, because that little would not cover the swap plus the network fee anyway. Send a bit more and the buttons work normally.
What happens if a check fails?
You see the specific reason in plain words, freeze authority, a transfer hook, or no route back to SOL, and the normal buy button disappears. Buying anyway is still possible, through an explicit override that gets recorded.
Why is my position worth less than what I paid, even before the price moved?
Every fill nets out our 1% fee, the network fee, and the slippage you allowed, before the token price does anything at all. Rayo shows that as a net number next to the gross one so it is never a surprise later.
Can I stop partway through and not buy anything?
Yes. Pasting an address only gets you a price, a 24-hour move, the liquidity, and your balance. Nothing happens until you tap an amount and then confirm the quote that follows.
Where do I actually get my referral link?
The /referrals command hands you the link and your running totals the moment you have an account, with nothing to apply for and no approval step.
