What Photon does well
Photon is a browser-based trading terminal for Solana and Ethereum tokens, built for speed. You connect a wallet, open a token page, and buy or sell in one click without leaving the chart.
The parts of Photon that traders lean on most:
- Limit orders covering Buy Dip, Stop Loss, and Take Profit, triggered by market cap or a line drawn on the chart
- DCA orders that space out buys or sells over minutes or hours, with a set order count and an expiration window
- Up to 5 active wallets, with SOL split across them and Quick Buy / Quick Sell firing on several at once
- Smart-MEV routing that sends your transaction to JITO or to Bloxroute depending on the bribe you set
- A "not a honeypot" filter on the holdings page, so you can see which positions cleared that check
None of this needs Telegram. Photon lives entirely at photon-sol.tinyastro.io.
What Photon charges
Photon's docs are direct about the fee: 1% of the trade, collected in SOL, on every buy and every sell. That's the full rate for everyone, on every wallet you run through the platform.
The fee pages don't describe a referral program or a way to bring that 1% down, so what you pay on your first trade is what you pay on your thousandth.
Where Rayo works differently
Rayo is a Telegram bot, not a browser tab. You open a chat, paste a contract address or a wallet, and trade from there.
The differences that matter most:
- The fee is 1%, dropping to 0.9% when you come in through an invite
- A 5-level referral structure pays back up to 38.5% of fees to the people who brought you in and the chain above them
- Swaps route through Jupiter, and Rayo shows the exact quote before you confirm the fill, not an estimate
- Every buy runs through checks first: freeze authority, Token-2022 transfer hooks, a transfer fee on the token, a permanent delegate, and whether there's a working exit route
- You can paste any wallet to track its trades, and copy them automatically
- PNL is net of every fee, not just the swap, with a CSV you can export
- Your wallet lives in the bot with an exportable private key, and you can withdraw to any address whenever you want
- Limit buy, take-profit, stop-loss, and trailing stop, set right after a buy or from the token card and managed with /orders
Rayo doesn't ask for KYC. It also doesn't have DCA, a web app, or MEV protection yet.
Feature by feature
Here's how the two line up on the things traders check before switching.
Who should use which
Reach for Photon if you want DCA and several wallets managed from one screen, with charts and a trending feed built in.
Reach for Rayo if you'd rather trade from Telegram, want to track and copy other wallets, want your fee paid back through referrals instead of fixed at 1% forever, and want a PNL number that already has every fee subtracted.
Using both
The two aren't exclusive. Traders who want Photon's DCA for planned entries and exits, plus Rayo's price-triggered orders, wallet tracking, and copy trading, run both with separate wallets and move funds between them as needed.
Opening Rayo takes one tap, no signup form, and no wallet import unless you want to bring an existing one in.
Side by side
Open Rayo and see for yourself
1% a trade, 0.9% with an invite link.

Frequently asked questions
Is Photon or Rayo cheaper?
Both charge 1% per trade on paper. Rayo drops that to 0.9% with an invite, and its 5-level referral structure pays back up to 38.5% of fees, so an active referrer ends up paying less net than Photon's flat 1%. Photon's docs don't describe any way to lower its rate.
Does Photon have a Telegram bot?
No. Photon's own docs describe it as a web app at photon-sol.tinyastro.io, with no Telegram bot. Rayo runs entirely inside Telegram, no browser tab needed.
Does Rayo have limit orders or DCA?
Limit orders yes: limit buy, take-profit, stop-loss, and trailing stop, set right after a buy or from the token card and managed with /orders. DCA is still Photon-only: it spaces out buys or sells over time, which Rayo doesn't do.
Can I track other wallets' trades?
Photon's documentation doesn't describe wallet tracking. Rayo lets you paste any wallet address, watch what it buys and sells, and copy its trades automatically.
Do I need to verify my identity to use either one?
No. Neither requires KYC to trade. Photon works once you connect a wallet in the browser; Rayo works the moment you open the Telegram bot, no signup form.
